Speaker's Biographical Information
Bea Lewis was a featured writer and columnist for Newsday, one of the nation's largest daily newspaper. After retirement and moving to Florida, she decided the sun and sand weren't enough and returned to journalism.
From 2003 until 2008, Bea's popular column on parent/adult child relationship was featured weekly in the Palm Beach Post. With the help of experts, she responded to readers' questions about their concerns and anxieties with their adult children.
Bea's talk, "My Kids Are All Grown Up, So Why Are They Still Driving Me Crazy?" is based on what the experts shared with her on how best to get along with adult children, their spouses and other aliens.
Bea is a member of Toastmasters International.
Married to Ed for 47 years, the couple, who reside in Boynton Beach, have three adult daughters, five granddaughters and one prince!
Her recently published booklet, with the same title as her talk, is available on the website and at the end of the meeting. It offers 101 practical tips ranging from making peace with the cranky daughter-in-law to adjusting to your child's interfaith marriage to dealing with the kid who thinks you are his or her personal ATM machine... and more.
